第三段中，初先法說，次喻，後合。「以是行苦不失念慧」是法說也，以是五欲生死因行多受苦故，堅守念慧。

In the third section, first is the exposition of the dharma, next the analogy, and afterwards the application. 'Because of this suffering of conditioning, they do not lose mindfulness and wisdom' is the exposition of the dharma: because of these five desires, the causal actions of birth and death bring much suffering; therefore, they firmly guard mindfulness and wisdom.
