第三結中，「是故我於毘舍告言當涅槃」者，前二段中就初以結，是我為彼惡比丘故告言涅槃。
In the third part, the conclusion: 'For this reason, I announced in Vaiśālī that I would enter nirvāṇa' concludes based on the first of the preceding two sections, meaning: 'It was for the sake of those evil monks that I announced [I would enter] nirvāṇa.'
