7.40

四顯難意，瑠璃今者次使如來就生解釋常、無常，有、無之義，令彼新來菩薩解知，故反難之。

Fourth is clarifying the intention of the objection. Vaiḍūrya now prompts the Tathāgata to explain the meanings of permanence and impermanence, existence and non-existence, in terms of arising, so as to enable those newly arrived bodhisattvas to understand and know them; therefore he poses objections.
