第三段中，初之兩偈明修戒行以為福因。於中，前偈自身無犯，後偈明其能治他過，後之三偈明修施行以為福因。

In the third section, the first two verses explain cultivating moral practice as the causal condition for merit. In this, the former verse concerns oneself being without transgression; the latter verse explains being able to remedy the faults of others. The subsequent three verses explain cultivating the practice of giving as the causal condition for merit.
