8.105

第三超合吼勢力中，「令正四眾於邪四部不生畏」者，合初水性潛沒深淵、陸行藏伏，出家二眾合其水性、在家二眾合彼陸行。飛墮象走略而不合，若合，不異吼所為中第一及與第九句故。

In the third [section], skipping ahead to correspond to the power of the roar: "causing the correct fourfold assembly not to feel fear toward the heterodox fourfold assembly" corresponds to the previous "those living in water submerging into the deep abyss, and those traveling on land hiding and concealing themselves"; the two monastic assemblies correspond to the water-dwelling creatures, and the two lay assemblies correspond to those traveling on land. The flying creatures falling down and the elephants fleeing are omitted and not corresponded, because if corresponded, they would not differ from the first and the ninth phrases within what the roar undertakes.
