第五重合能吼德中，「四足據地」牒舉前喻，「令生安住尸波羅蜜」顯其化意，「自住淨戒故，令他具師子吼」者牒上喻中「若具如是，能師子吼」。「名決定說」，總約顯法。說「一切眾生悉有佛性，如來常住」，別約顯法。

In the fifth [section], re-corresponding to the virtue of being able to roar: "the four feet standing firmly on the ground" cites the preceding metaphor; "causing them to dwell securely in the śīla-pāramitā" makes evident the intention of his transformation. "Because he himself abides in pure precepts, he causes others to be fully equipped for the lion's roar" cites the preceding metaphor's "if fully equipped with these, one can make the lion's roar." "Named the definitive exposition" makes evident the Dharma generally. Saying that "all sentient beings fully possess the buddha-nature, and the Tathāgata is permanently abiding" makes evident the Dharma specifically.
