第二段中，初先法說明眾生有，次喻，後合。法中「一切眾生悉有」直明有性。「三種破」下舉得顯有。於中，先舉斷煩惱得顯性是有。斷貪瞋癡，名為三種破煩惱也。「一闡提」下舉斷業得顯性是有。「以是義」下總結性有。

In the second section, first there is the exposition through dharma explaining that sentient beings possess it, next a metaphor, and then the application. In the dharma, "All sentient beings possess..." directly explains the possession of the nature. From "Three kinds of destruction" downward, it cites attainment to reveal possession. Therein, it first cites the attainment through severing afflictions to reveal that the nature exists: severing greed, anger, and delusion is called the three kinds of destruction of afflictions. From "Icchantika" downward, it cites the attainment through severing karmic activity to reveal that the nature exists. From "Because of this..." downward, it concludes overall that the nature exists.
