Within the second [part], clarifying that the nature is not non-existent, the text has four distinct parts: First, "The nature of sentient beings is not destroyed..." and so forth speaks of existence in terms of Dharma. Second, below "Just like the space within sentient beings...", it speaks of existence by metaphor. Therein, first it clarifies that space is existent; below "If sentient beings had no space...", it refutes non-existence to establish existence; below "By this reasoning...", it cites teachings to corroborate existence. "The realm of space is called space" concludes that space is existent. Third, "Buddha-nature is like this" matches the metaphor to clarify existence. Fourth, below "ten abodes", it differentiates in terms of persons. There are four points: first, clarifying that buddha-nature is seen by buddhas and bodhisattvas; second, below "It is not...", clarifying that it is not seen by ordinary beings and the two vehicles; third, below "Therefore...", clarifying the detriment of not seeing; fourth, below "seeing buddha-nature", clarifying the benefit of seeing and knowing.
