第七句中，「乳不假緣必當成酪」舉其所同。不假人功、水瓶、繩攢名不假緣。非全不假醪煖等緣。「生蘇不」下，彰其所異。「眾生亦爾有佛性者應離緣得」徵同前乳。

In the seventh clause, "Milk does not rely on conditions, yet it will definitely become curd" adduces their point of similarity. Not relying on human effort, water jugs, ropes, or churn-staffs is termed "not relying on conditions"; it does not mean not relying at all on conditions such as ferment and warmth. From "Fresh butter does not..." onward, he reveals their difference. "Sentient beings are also like this: if they have a buddha-nature, they should attain it apart from conditions": he challenges by analogizing to the previous milk.
