次答第七。「汝言有性不應假緣如乳成酪，是義不然」牒問總非。「何以故」下釋顯非義，先徵、後辯。「若言五緣成於生蘇」牒前問中所異之喻。「佛性如是」辯性同之。

Next, it answers the seventh [objection]. "Your statement that because there is the nature, one should not depend on conditions just as milk becomes curds, is not so": this cites the question and negates it in general. From "Why is that?" downward explains and reveals the meaning of this negation, first interrogating and then explaining. "If you say that five conditions produce fresh butter" cites the different simile used in the earlier question. "The buddha-nature is likewise" explains that the nature is identical to it.
