8.35

下就設難，初言「遇與不遇悉發，如來云何說言讚性令生發心」，就前所牒上人設難。「若遇、不遇悉不發」下，就前所牒下人設難。執上類下，明皆自得，不假讚性。於中難辭有六復次，相從為四。

Next, it constructs the objection. First, it says: 'Whether they encounter [the conditions] or do not encounter them, all generate [the resolve]; why does the Tathāgata say that praising the nature causes them to generate the resolve?' This constructs an objection based on the superior person cited earlier. From 'If, whether they encounter or do not encounter [the conditions], they all do not generate [the resolve]' and so on, it constructs an objection based on the inferior person cited earlier. Clinging to the superior to subsume the inferior, he argues that all attain it naturally and do not depend on praising the nature. In this, the phrasing of the objections has six iterations, which are grouped into four.
