8.94

自下第二師子許問，於中師子先許諮問，「會有菩薩名師子吼」標列其人，「從坐起」等啟請方便，「白佛」已下彰己欲問，慶蒙佛聽。下佛對之，勸人供養。先勸供養，「者何」以下釋勸供養，「是故應」下結勸供養。前中，「汝等深敬尊重」勸意供養；言「讚嘆」者，勸口供養；「以種種」等，勸身供養。

Below, the second part is Lion agreeing to question, wherein Lion first agrees to inquire: "At that time there was a bodhisattva named Lion's Roar" marks and lists the person; "rising from his seat..." etc., is the expedient means of petition; from "said to the Buddha..." onward shows his desire to ask and rejoices at receiving the Buddha's permission. Below, the Buddha addresses them, encouraging people to make offerings. First he encourages making offerings; from "Why..." onward explains the encouragement to make offerings; from "Therefore one should..." onward concludes the encouragement to make offerings. In the former: "deeply revere and honor" encourages mental offering; "praise" encourages verbal offering; "with various..." etc., encourages bodily offering.
