就佛答中，答問不盡而復不次。前七句中但答後六，故言不盡。就所答中，先答第五、次答第四、次答第二、次答第六、次答第三、後答第七，故云不次。

In the Buddha's answer, he does not answer the questions completely, and furthermore does not do so in sequence. Among the previous seven phrases, he only answers the latter six, hence it is said to be not complete. In what he answers, he first answers the fifth, next answers the fourth, next answers the second, next answers the sixth, next answers the third, and afterward answers the seventh; hence it is said to be not in sequence.
