Below, it adduces broad and concise, shallow and deep, as categories. "For the sake of sentient beings, the Tathāgata speaks of the concise within the broad, and speaks of the broad within the concise" forms one category: broad and concise are indeterminate. "Speaks of the ultimate truth as conventional truth, and speaks of conventional truth as ultimate truth" forms another category: shallow and deep are indeterminate. "Why is it called speaking within the broad..." and below explains and reveals the first category. "Why is the ultimate spoken of as conventional truth..." and below explains and reveals the latter category. "Just as you attained the Dharma and are therefore named Ājñāta-Kauṇḍinya": ā means without [a-], jñāta means knowledge [jñā-]; Kauṇḍinya is his clan name; having realized the unconditioned, he accomplished wisdom, hence he is named "having non-knowledge" [Ājñāta].
