9.23

從非內外訖來至此，大段第三廣顯證法。自下第四勸修趣入廣顯證行。此與向前第二段中證行何別而須重論？前第二中教見如來以趣實證，今此文中教見涅槃，是一異也。又前文中直明持戒乃至見性為趣證行，未就人別；此中就人彰行階降，是二異也。

From "neither internal nor external" up to this point is the third major section, broadly revealing the realized Dharma. Below, the fourth section encourages cultivation to progress toward entry, broadly revealing realized practice. How does this differ from the realized practice in the preceding second section, such that it needs to be discussed again? In the former second section, it taught seeing the Tathāgata in order to progress toward true realization; now, in this text, it teaches seeing nirvāṇa: this is the first difference. Furthermore, the former text directly explained upholding the precepts and seeing the nature as the practice for progressing toward realization, without differentiating among persons; here it displays the gradations of practice according to persons: this is the second difference.
