9.26

教修入中，初略、次廣、後總結嘆。略中，初問「何等比丘能斷十相」。下佛為辨，「數數修三則斷十相」總以標舉。修時不一，故云數數，有經亦云「時時修」也。次別、後結。

In teaching the cultivation of entry, it is first brief, then detailed, and finally concludes with praise. In the brief part, he first asks: "What kind of bhikṣu can sever the ten marks?" Below, the Buddha explains it for him: "Frequently cultivating the three severs the ten marks" states the thesis generally. Because the times of cultivation are not just one, it says "frequently"; some sūtras also say "cultivating from time to time." Next [it discusses them] specifically, and then concludes.
