自下第三重明前定。於中，初先簡去菩薩應化之業；「以非三時定業攝故，我念往昔與提婆」下，正明定業。前簡化中有八復次：初一復次地獄中化、次一復次畜生中化、次一復次餓鬼中化、後五復次人道中化，略不論天。八中皆初辨其化相、後顯非實。

From here, the third [section] reiterates the clarification of the former determinate [karma]. Herein, it first sets aside the bodhisattva's karma of manifestation and transformation; from 'because it is not subsumed under the determinate karma of the three times; I remember in the past together with Devadatta' onward, it directly clarifies determinate karma. In the former setting aside of manifestations, there are eight subdivisions: the first subdivision is manifestation in the hells; the next subdivision is manifestation among animals; the next subdivision is manifestation among hungry ghosts; the latter five subdivisions are manifestations in the human realm, omitting heaven for brevity. In all eight, it first distinguishes the manifestations' characteristics, and afterward reveals that they are not real.
