In the second section, 'if there is one who cultivates body, precepts, mind, and wisdom' is the practice of a wise person. Body and precepts are the training in morality; mind is the training in concentration; wisdom is the training in wisdom. In the middle, it clarifies the foolish person's practice: 'if there is one who does not cultivate body, precepts, mind, and wisdom, this is called being foolish' briefly indicates it, and below broadly distinguishes it. Therein are eight turns: the first seven clarify the absence of practices of conventional truth, and the last one clarifies the absence of practices of ultimate truth. In the first seven, the first five turns distinguish them with reference to karma; within each and every turn, the dharmas distinguished are numerous and cannot be named individually. In the first turn, saying 'not cultivating the seven kinds of precepts' means not cultivating the three bodily and four verbal precepts. In the second turn, saying 'not cultivating the three kinds of marks' means not cultivating the marks of calming, exerting, and equanimity.
