Regarding the third section, the request praising oneself, the text divides into three parts: first, the monks, based on the Buddha's earlier statement that 'You, having encountered me, should not be negligent and should not let it pass in vain,' praise their own good cultivation, wanting to prompt the Tathāgata to conversely illuminate superior cultivation; second, the Tathāgata affirms and praises them; third, the monks, hearing the praise, produce an error on the basis of these words.
