四、生起者，由眾有施，由施行立，由行見義，證義有用；亦是用由於義，義由於行，行由於施，施由眾集。逆順相由，故成次第。無始而始故有召請，不終而終故有大用。惡盡邪亡、善窮正息，折攝既休，畢竟寂滅入於涅槃。

Fourth, as for the sequence of arising: Due to the assembly there is donation; due to donation practice is established; due to practice one sees the meaning; realizing the meaning brings about function. Alternatively, function derives from meaning, meaning derives from practice, practice derives from donation, and donation derives from the assembly's gathering. Relying on each other in forward and reverse sequence, they thereby form an orderly succession. Beginning without a beginning, there is summoning and inviting; ending without an end, there is the great function. Evil exhausted and heterodoxy eliminated, goodness completed and orthodoxy subsided, subduing and gathering having ceased, ultimate quiescent cessation is entered in nirvāṇa.
