次「善男子若言佛性」下，第二明佛性無住處，有法、譬、合。法可見。「如十二因緣」下，譬，又二：先正舉譬；次舉如來帖譬，如來是舉顯、佛性是舉隱。次「佛性」下，合譬，如文。

Next, from “Good sons, if one says that the buddhadhātu” downwards, the second [part] explains that the buddhadhātu has no abiding place, comprising doctrine, metaphor, and application. The doctrine is evident. From “Just as the twelve links of dependent origination” downwards is the metaphor, which again has two parts: first, correctly introducing the metaphor; next, adducing the Tathāgata to match the metaphor—the Tathāgata being adduced as manifest, and the buddhadhātu as concealed. Next, from “the buddhadhātu” downwards, the application of the metaphor is as in the text.
