4.13

次、偈頌，中二：初一偈頌上歎、次三偈請。初文云汝者，汝即純陀，頌上名也。生人道者，六難之一，頌願滿也。超第六天而等梵王請佛開常，即頌德也。我及一切，眾頌譽也。上同聲讚，此云我及一切也。如有端首推下論義，似如文殊為請首也。

Next, the verses have two parts: first, one verse summarizes the praise above; next, three verses make the request. In the first text, "You": "you" refers to Cunda, versifying the "name" above. "Born in the human realm" is one of the six difficulties, versifying the fulfillment of the vow. "Surpassing the sixth heaven and equaling the Brahmā King" in requesting the Buddha to reveal the eternal: this versifies virtue. "I and everyone": the assembly versifies renown. Above, they praised with one voice; here, it says "I and everyone." As if having a head to delegate the discussion below, it seems as though Mañjuśrī is the leader of the request.
