問：汝今云何作此問者且反彼？汝言涅槃為有名為無名而問翻無翻耶，而未知有名無名而更問翻無翻，如未知兔頭有角無角而問菟角若為長短耶？

Question: Why do you now pose this question? Let us turn it back upon you: when you ask whether it is translatable or untranslatable, are you asking whether nirvāṇa has a name or has no name? Yet without knowing whether it has a name or has no name, you further ask about translatable or untranslatable; is this not like asking whether a rabbit’s horns are long or short without knowing whether a rabbit’s head has horns or has no horns?
