他云涅槃是法名，既稱云涅槃，涅槃是至極之名，窮原盡性之說，所以是具足也。今明涅槃非有為非無為，則非具足、非不具足、非人、非法，亦具足、亦不具足、亦人名、亦法稱。

Others say: 'Nirvāṇa is the name of a dharma. Since it is designated nirvāṇa, nirvāṇa is the name of the ultimate, the discourse that fathoms the source and exhausts nature; therefore it is complete.' Now I clarify: nirvāṇa is neither conditioned nor unconditioned; thus it is neither complete nor incomplete, neither person nor dharma; and it is also complete, also incomplete, also the name of a person, and also the designation of a dharma.
