又難：若昔無常覆今常，不覆昔常者；昔無常除今常，不除昔常，昔宜禁乳，則昔通除常。又，若無常覆今常者，未說今常，云何覆今常？前說無常時可以今常覆昔無常，昔無常未有今常，何得言昔無常覆今耶？

Another objection: If the past impermanence concealed today's permanence, and did not conceal the past permanence, then the past impermanence removed today's permanence and did not remove the past permanence; yet in the past it was appropriate to prohibit milk, so the past comprehensively removed permanence. Furthermore, if impermanence concealed today's permanence, before today's permanence was spoken of, how could it conceal today's permanence? When impermanence was previously spoken of, today's permanence could conceal the past impermanence; but when the past impermanence was taught, today's permanence did not yet exist—how could one say the past impermanence concealed today's [permanence]?
