贊曰：此後二也。今於此中有千菩薩者，顯未成佛居賢劫位，當彌勒等現居因故。最初成佛名拘留孫最後成佛名曰樓至，於此有緣果當成佛故、令諸眾生各起希願得親近故。如《千佛因緣經》具陳其事。

The commentary says: These are the latter two. "Now among them there are a thousand bodhisattvas" shows that those who have not yet achieved Buddhahood occupy stages in the Auspicious Kalpa (Bhadrakalpa), because Maitreya and the others presently abide in the causal [state]. "The first to achieve Buddhahood is named Krakucchanda, and the last to achieve Buddhahood is named Ruci" indicates that those who have affinities here will in the fruitional [state] achieve Buddhahood, and causes all sentient beings each to give rise to the aspiration to draw near [to them]. This is fully detailed in the Sūtra on the Causes and Conditions of the Thousand Buddhas.
