贊曰：第三、明往生。有二：一、生時節。譬如壯士屈申臂頃，顯業決定，生便速疾。二、生處所。蓮花之上結跏趺坐，定出生死，除煩惱故。既生彼天住於梵行，故於花上結跏趺坐。

The commentary says: Third, explaining rebirth. There are two [points]: 1. The time of rebirth: 'as quickly as a strong man bends or extends his arm' indicates that the karma is definitive and rebirth is instantaneous. 2. The place of rebirth: 'sitting cross-legged upon a lotus flower' indicates that they definitively transcend birth and death and eliminate afflictions. Having been born in that heaven, they dwell in brahma conduct, and therefore sit cross-legged upon a flower.
