贊曰：第五大段明上九品願往生者修十善行念名恭敬等滅罪多少。於中有二：初明樂生，業滿得生；後明不樂，行亦未滿。樂生中有四：一令念、二勸行、三教願、四滅罪。此初也。

The Commentary says: The fifth major section explains how much sin is extinguished by those of the above nine grades who vow to be reborn by cultivating the ten wholesome actions, being mindful of the name, being reverent, and so forth. Within this there are two parts: first, explaining those who delight in being born, whose karma is fulfilled and who attain rebirth; second, explaining those who do not delight [in it] and whose practices are also not yet fulfilled. In the section on delighting in being born there are four parts: first, enjoining mindfulness; second, encouraging practice; third, instructing vows; fourth, extinguishing transgressions. This is the first.
