贊曰：第二聞名起敬也。前明若逢緣，一念頃念，滅千二百劫。此但聞名合掌恭敬，除五十劫。但發身業，首不至地，歸心輕故。

The commentary says: Second is giving rise to reverence upon hearing his name. Earlier it was explained that if upon encountering conditions one contemplates for a single thought-moment, it eradicates one thousand two hundred kalpas. Here, merely hearing his name, joining the palms, and paying reverence eradicates fifty kalpas. This activates only bodily karma without the head touching the ground, because the mind of refuge is slight.
