The Commentary says: The fourth major section generally explains only that having taken refuge, one is non-retrograde and will attain liberation. There are three parts: First, explaining serving as a refuge. I, the Buddha of true retribution, am about to enter parinirvāṇa, and the disciples of the final Dharma who have not yet met me are all entrusted to the Compassionate Honoured One to be liberated. If they do not see him, they will lose great benefit; this is called 'serving as a refuge'. Second, those who take refuge attain non-retrogression. Third, when Maitreya becomes a Buddha, seeing the light they receive a prophecy. Those who have attained sagehood perceive the light of wisdom with their wisdom eye; ordinary beings see the golden colour with their physical eyes. Duotuoejiadu is tathāgata. Aluoke is worthy of offerings (arhat). Sanmiaosanfotuo is the fully and truly enlightened one (samyaksaṃbuddha).
