The commentary says: Within the whole text, the third major section is the division on hearing the name, rejoicing, and practicing. There are four parts within it: first, questions; second, answers; third, the assembly obtaining benefit at that time; fourth, rejoicing, retiring, and propagation. The first has two parts: first, praising the preaching and rejoicing accordingly; second, directly inquiring about upholding the name. This is the first. Praising the merits, karmas, and fruits of ordinary beings and noble ones constitutes the earlier statement that both affect the two.
