The commentary says: Here there are two adornments. On the eighth ground, one attains mastery over both characteristics and lands, and can thus manifest the golden light of Jāmbūnada [gold]; this is the foremost among all golds. It exists beneath the waters near the jambu tree, and its colour eclipses all other lights; therefore this alone is cited. On the ninth ground, one brings to maturity the four unhindered understandings, transforms and benefits sentient beings, and brings forth wholesome roots; hence it karmically brings about the precious maidens.
