經曰「爾時尊者阿難」以下，第三歡喜奉行分。此中四：一問、二答、三時眾得益、四奉喜退流通，可准也。言他方者，或有經云十方，是則善慧地菩薩聞此經得入第十地健行定。以此文證，化身化地上也。八萬諸天者，此方兜率天眾得益。非但當時發心，亦願未來隨生故。

From the sūtra's words 'At that time, the Venerable Ānanda' onward, this is the third section, the division of rejoicing and practicing accordingly. Here there are four: first, the question; second, the answer; third, the assembly at that time obtaining benefit; fourth, rejoicing, withdrawing, and circulation, which may be understood accordingly. As for 'other directions', some sūtras say the ten directions; that is, bodhisattvas of the Sādhumatī bhūmi, upon hearing this sūtra, are able to enter the tenth bhūmi's Śūraṅgama samādhi. Using this text as proof, the nirmāṇakāya transforms those on the bhūmis. As for 'eighty thousand devas', this refers to the Tuṣita heaven assembly of this realm obtaining benefit. Not only did they produce the aspiration at that time, but they also vowed to be reborn following [him] in the future.
