1.17

經曰「一時」者，第二教起時。論云「時者即是有為法上假立，謂色心等諸法上假立，是不相應行蘊所攝。」此中有二義：一道理時，謂諸說聽徒現在五蘊諸行中有酬前引後義故，假立三世，總名一時。二唯識時，謂說聽徒心識上反作三世時。

The sūtra stating 'at one time' (ekasmin samaye) is the second [phrase], the time the teaching arose. The treatise says: 'Time is conventionally established upon conditioned phenomena; that is, conventionally established upon phenomena such as form and mind, and is subsumed under the aggregate of non-associated formations.' Herein there are two meanings: first, the time of reason and principle, meaning that among the current five aggregates and all formations of the speaker and hearers, there is the sense of requiting the past and leading to the future; hence the three periods of time are conventionally established and collectively called 'one time'. Second, the time of consciousness-only, meaning that the three periods of time are projected upon the minds and consciousnesses of the speaker and hearers.
