問：何故薗為須達，照國以雲？答：薗者遮周義故，故喻七匝。破七非令得七覺分故，故狹。國廣有緣皆被，故雲為喻。

Question: Why was the park for Sudatta, while the country was illuminated with clouds? Answer: A park has the meaning of being enclosed and circumscribed; therefore it is compared to seven enclosures. Because it destroys the seven wrongs to cause attainment of the seven factors of awakening, it is narrow. The country is vast and reaches all those with karmic affinity; therefore clouds are used as the metaphor.
