什曰：是地龍而腹行也。肇曰：摩睺羅伽，大蟒神也。此上八部，皆有大神力，能自變形，在座聽法也。
[Kumāra]jīva says: These are earth nāgas that crawl on their bellies.
[Seng]zhao says: Mahoragas are great python spirits. The above eight classes all possess great spiritual power and can transform their own forms to be seated and listen to the Dharma.
