肇曰：大覺之道寂滅無相，至味和神諭若甘露。於菩提樹先降外魔，然後成甘露寂滅大覺之道，結習內魔於茲永盡矣。

[Seng]zhao says: The Way of Great Awakening is quiescently extinct and without characteristics; its supreme flavor harmonizes the spirit, compared to nectar. Under the Bodhi tree, he first subdued external demons, and thereafter accomplished the Way of Great Awakening of nectar-like quiescent extinction; the inner demons of defilements and residual habits were permanently ended here.
