1.72

肇曰：法寶光無不照，照癡冥也；澤無不潤，潤生死也。喻海有神寶，能放光除冥，亦因光能雨甘露潤枯槁也。

[Seng]zhao says: There is nowhere the light of the Dharma-jewel does not shine, illuminating the darkness of ignorance; there is nothing its moisture does not hydrate, nourishing saṃsāra. It is compared to the ocean having a divine jewel able to radiate light and dispel darkness, and through its light also able to rain down amṛta to nourish what is parched.
