肇曰：文者何耶：妙旨之蹄筌耳。而新學智淺，未能忘言求理，捨本尋末唯文飾是好。

[Seng]zhao says: What is the text? It is merely the snare and fish-trap for the wondrous purport. Yet beginners with shallow wisdom cannot forget the words to seek the principle; abandoning the root and seeking the branches, they are fond only of literary embellishment.
