10.96

肇曰：毀四禁、犯五逆，小乘法所不能救。眾魔外道貪著豪姿，小乘法所不能滅。能救能滅者，其唯大乘方等深經乎！生曰：恐失其有。

[Seng]zhao says: The Hīnayāna Dharma cannot rescue those who break the four prohibitions and commit the five heinous sins. The Hīnayāna Dharma cannot eliminate the prideful cravings of māras and heterodox teachers. What can rescue and eliminate them is solely the profound sūtras of the Mahāyāna vaipulya! [Dao]sheng says: They fear losing what they possess.
