肇曰：雖復變應殊方妙迹不一，然此經之起本于現疾，故作者別序其事。

[Seng]zhao says: Although his adaptive responses were in diverse regions and his wondrous traces were manifold, the origin of this sūtra began with the manifestation of illness; therefore, the author introduces these matters separately.
