肇曰：空聚，亦涅槃相也。凡入聚落，宜存此相。若然，則終日聚落終日空聚也。生曰：次呵其少欲也。若見彼富此貧，而捨富從貧為少者，是惡多也。惡多者是不免多矣，非所以少也。當以空聚想入於聚落，勿見貧富有主。

[Seng]zhao says: An empty settlement is also the characteristic of nirvāṇa. Whenever entering a village, one should maintain this characteristic. If so, then being in a village all day is being in an empty settlement all day. [Dao]sheng says: Next, he rebukes his [conception of] few desires. If one sees that person as rich and this person as poor, and considers abandoning the rich to follow the poor as having few [desires], this is loathing the many. One who loathes the many cannot avoid the many; this is not the way to have few. One should enter the village with the perception of an empty settlement, not seeing masters of wealth and poverty.
