肇曰：食必有益。生曰：言必能福彼也。然則非徒拔其貧苦而已，乃所以終得大乘之果也。

[Seng]zhao says: The eating will definitely be beneficial. [Dao]sheng says: This means one will definitely be able to bring merit to that person. Thus, it is not merely pulling them out of the suffering of poverty, but is indeed that by which they ultimately attain the fruit of the Mahāyāna.
