什曰。諸有德者能致供養，能致供養者復供養此賢，所以為最也。肇曰：含齒無不敬、淨養無不供，故曰為供養之最。
[Kumāra]jīva says: Those of virtue can draw offerings, and those who draw offerings in turn make offerings to this worthy, which is why he is the foremost. [Seng]zhao says: None among living beings failed to revere him, and none failed to provide pure offerings; hence it says 'the foremost among recipients of offerings.'
