2.75

什曰：如釋迦菩薩入學堂說梵書，梵天下來為證，眾人信受。斯其類也。肇曰：學堂，童蒙書學堂也。誘開，如太子入學現梵書比也。

[Kumāra]jīva says: Just as when the Bodhisattva Śākyamuni entered the schoolroom and spoke of the Brāhmī script, Brahmā descended to bear witness, and the multitudes faithfully accepted it. This is of that sort. [Seng]zhao says: 'Schoolrooms' means classrooms for teaching children to write. 'Guiding and enlightening' is comparable to when the crown prince entered school and manifested the Brāhmī script.
