生曰：未知罪相猶封以致懼，既明所屬而改之法重，封懼之情愈致深也。深乎惑者，罪彌重矣。

[Dao]sheng says: When they did not yet know the characteristics of the sin, they clung to attachments and brought about fear; once the classification was made clear and the method of reformation was heavy, their feelings of attachment and fear grew increasingly deeper. When their delusion deepens, their sin becomes all the heavier.
