3.181

肇曰：得解脫時，謂其初成阿羅漢第九解脫，爾時心冥一義，無復心相。欲以其心類明眾心，故先定其言也。

[Seng]zhao says: "'When attaining liberation' refers to when he first became an arhat in the ninth liberation; at that time his mind was darkly merged with the single principle, and there were no longer any characteristics of mind. Wishing to use his mind to illuminate analogously the minds of all beings, he first establishes his statement."
