肇曰：不善知其根，為說有為功德利也。生曰：世榮雖樂，難可久保。出家之理長樂無為，豈可同年語其優劣。

[Seng]zhao says: Because he did not properly know their faculties, he explained to them the conditioned merits and benefits. [Dao]sheng says: Although worldly glory is enjoyable, it is difficult to preserve for long. The principle of going forth is the perpetual bliss of the unconditioned; how can one speak of their relative superiority in the same breath?
