3.253
[Kumāra]jīva says: Whenever one performs meritorious deeds with an impure mind, it is called 'miscellaneous evils.' When one goes forth and cultivates the good, they extinguish false thoughts and act for the sake of nirvāṇa; therefore, they are free from miscellaneous evils. [Seng]zhao says: Although worldly good is good, it is still mixed with the unwholesome. The Dharma of the Way is truly pure; hence it is purely good and unmixed.
