什曰：長者子不得出家，而重出家之美，所以深其惱耳。肇曰：非不欲出家，不欲違親耳。

[Kumāra]jīva says: “The elders’ sons could not go forth, yet valued the excellence of going forth; this deepened their distress.” [Seng]zhao says: “It was not that they did not wish to go forth; they just did not want to disobey their parents.”
